Overview

Optima Dermatology is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant to join our Patient Care Team as a remote/hybrid Medical Care Coordinator, providing exceptional customer service to patients and community members.

In Short

  • Provide world-class customer service to patients and callers.
  • Support patient needs and internal providers within the scope of practice.
  • Answer incoming calls and manage voicemails.
  • Schedule appointments and assist with patient registration.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and providers.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA standards.
  • Assist with administrative needs of practices.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Work collaboratively within a distributed organization.
  • Follow departmental standards and training requirements.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required; some college preferred.
  • Certified or licensed Medical Assistant with relevant experience.
  • 2 years’ experience in a medical office practice required.
  • Experience with EMR systems preferred.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Knowledge of sales/sales experience preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum of two years’ customer service experience required.
