Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant - Relief Urology Oncology - Remote

Overview

Stanford Health Care is seeking a per diem Advanced Practice Provider (APP)—Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)—to join our Urologic Surgical Oncology team, focusing on the investigation and treatment of urologic cancers.

In Short

• Provide comprehensive assessments and management of patients with urologic cancers.
• Conduct new patient evaluations and follow-up visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Prescribe medications, including chemotherapy.
• Participate in coordination of care with clinical trials teams.
• Conduct procedures such as bladder installations.
• Respond to patient inquiries and manage symptoms.
• Promote patient-focused communication with patients and families.
• Collaborate within a multi-specialty team environment.
• Engage in quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• At least one year of clinical experience in oncology, urology, or an acute care setting.
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Registered Nurse (RN) State Licensure and NP Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Competency in performing medical services within scope.
• Ability to manage patient care effectively.
