Genetic Counselor Assistant - Remote

Overview

The Women’s Health and Genetics division of Labcorp is seeking a Genetic Counselor Assistant (GCA) to join their team! This is an exciting opportunity to provide support to our lab-based Genetic Counseling team in various areas including client services, send outs, and reporting.

In Short

• Support the lab-based Genetic Counseling team.
• Respond to inquiries from clients and healthcare providers.
• Coordinate genetic testing for clients.
• Perform administrative duties such as data entry and report filing.
• Work remotely from anywhere in the US.
• Maintain positive working relationships with clients and team members.
• Ability to manage and adapt to changing priorities.
• Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm ET.
• Requires a Bachelor's degree in a biological life science.
• Previous experience in customer service preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a biological life science.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Strong multi-tasking ability with attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities.
• Project management skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Preferred: experience in a molecular laboratory or clinical genetics setting.
• 2 years of customer service experience preferred.
• Familiarity with genetics concepts.
