The Billing and Internal Systems team is responsible for building and maintaining solutions that enable LaunchDarkly’s core monetization strategies. Our investments span pricing and packaging, account management and provisioning, usage-based billing, and quote-to-cash systems. As a member of this team, you will directly influence the company’s operations, collaborating closely with stakeholders from Revenue, Finance, and Product teams. You will also drive enhancements to our customer-facing billing and usage systems, ensuring accuracy, reliability, and a seamless experience.

In Short

Design, implement, and maintain backend services and APIs.
Build and deliver new features meeting functional and technical requirements.
Design robust and scalable APIs focusing on reliability and speed.
Continuously improve system performance and troubleshoot bottlenecks.
Monitor and enhance system resilience, addressing vulnerabilities.
Collaborate with frontend engineers for smooth integration.
Evaluate variable factors to determine optimal solutions for engineering problems.

Requirements

Full Stack engineer with 40-50% Backend focus.
Experience with server-side web development (Java, Scala, Ruby, Python, Golang).
Familiarity with modern JavaScript libraries (React).
Experience building RESTful APIs.
Experience with large-scale production systems.
Understanding of computer science fundamentals.
Commitment to a communicative and collaborative environment.
Code maintainability and quality focus.
Familiarity with networking technologies (TCP, HTTP, websockets).
