Frontend Engineer - Experimentation Team - Remote

Overview

LaunchDarkly is seeking an experienced Frontend Engineer who is familiar with experimentation or other data-focused products to join our Experimentation team. The Experimentation team is responsible for building the feature set that allows customers to setup, manage, and view results of experiments. As a developer-focused toolset, we value product minded engineers at LaunchDarkly. The ideal candidate has opinions about what we build and how we build it, and wants to be involved in the whole product development lifecycle. You’ll be joining our team of backend, frontend, and fullstack engineers along with multiple product managers, data scientists, and designers, to build an experimentation product that earns the trust of even the most discerning data scientist while remaining accessible to those new to experimentation.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable frontend solutions for experimentation and data-driven products.
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and designers.
• Resolve decisions of feature prioritization and technical design.
• Proactively improve product and code beyond assigned work.
• Mentor and support colleagues across the organization.
• Write and review technical proposals and conduct code reviews.
• Write unit and integration tests for new features.
• Stay up-to-date with trends in frontend development and experimentation.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a frontend software developer.
• Experience building data-focused products.
• Knowledge of experimentation methodologies.
• Proficiency with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling, such as React.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Experience building and maintaining large-scale production systems.
• Ability to thrive in a communicative and collaborative environment.
• Demonstrated ability to write clean, well-documented, and testable code.
