• Builds and integrates backend services for a modern healthcare portal hosted on an Azure-native platform.
• Focuses on developing secure, scalable APIs; implementing business logic; and optimizing data access using Azure services.
• Responsible for delivering high-performing, resilient services that support user-facing applications and workflows for healthcare data.
• Collaborates closely with front-end developers, architects, and DevOps teams.
• Ensures compliance with FedRAMP, HIPAA, and FISMA security and data-handling standards.
• Design, develop, and maintain Azure Functions to support business logic and data workflows.
• Build and manage APIs with Azure API Management (APIM).
• Develop and optimize Azure SQL stored procedures, queries, and schema design.
• Integrate backend services with front-end applications and external healthcare-data systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues with performance, scalability, and reliability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in backend development.
• Solid experience with Azure Functions and APIM.
• Proficiency in Azure SQL development.
• Hands-on experience with authentication and authorization using Entra ID.
• Familiarity with event-driven and serverless architectures.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
• Strong understanding of secure coding practices.
