Overview

We are seeking an experienced Geospatial Project Manager to oversee and coordinate geospatial projects from initiation through completion. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge in photogrammetry and remote sensing, and the ability to manage resources and timelines effectively.

In Short

  • Lead and manage geospatial projects, including aerial surveys, LiDAR acquisition, orthophoto production, and GIS data creation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project scope, schedule, and deliverables are met.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Oversee quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) of geospatial deliverables.
  • Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates, address questions, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications.
  • Utilize project management tools to track milestones and performance.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks and issues in a timely manner.
  • Stay current with advancements in geospatial technologies and standards.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior staff and technicians.

Requirements

  • ASPRS Certification required (e.g., Certified Photogrammetrist, Certified Mapping Scientist, etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics, Geography, Surveying, Remote Sensing, GIS, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in geospatial project management.
  • Strong knowledge of geospatial technologies, including photogrammetry, LiDAR processing, GIS, and GPS/RTK systems.
  • Proficiency with geospatial software such as Pix4D, TerraScan, Spatix, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Experience with aerial data acquisition planning and post-processing workflows.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • PMP or other project management certifications a plus.
