Overview

As the Business Development Director (BDD) at Millar & Bryce (M&B), your role is to expand our current client base and acquire new customers by offering tailored solutions and services.

In Short

  • Manage the sales process from prospect identification to close.
  • Support customers for the first three months from close, ensuring excellent service.
  • Conduct market research to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain domain knowledge for meaningful conversations with prospects.
  • Draft and deliver proposals.
  • Work with operational and technical specialists to meet customer requirements.
  • Log detailed notes in SalesForce on prospect interactions.
  • Plan and execute lead generation campaigns with local Marketing.
  • Provide feedback on market trends and competitive threats.
  • Represent M&B and LIG with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

  • Strong field sales or account management experience, preferably in B2B.
  • Experience in the law-firm/conveyancing market is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with varied customers and colleagues.
  • Thorough understanding of professional account selling.
  • Ability to construct and deliver persuasive presentations.
  • Comfortable working from home using Microsoft Office and relevant programs.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret Excel spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge of online information supply.
  • Willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays.
