Overview

The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting in the delivery of high quality and safe clinical care, enhancing patient satisfaction and provider efficiency through collaboration with healthcare providers.

In Short

  • Assist in the delivery of clinical care.
  • Perform clerical and clinical duties.
  • Collaborate with providers for schedule coordination.
  • Take patient vital signs and document medical history.
  • Ensure exam rooms are properly supplied.
  • Communicate delays with patients.
  • Manage same-day schedule additions.
  • Follow workflows and policies.
  • Achieve and maintain BLS certification.
  • Work full-time, including two Saturdays per month.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of an Accredited Medical Assistant program or certification.
  • 5 years experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Critical thinking and good judgement.
  • Good organizational skills and multitasking ability.
  • Epic and Primary Care experience preferred.
