Software Engineer, SRE (Senior/Staff levels) - Remote

Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Kustomer, you will be building systems and abstractions that will be used by teams across the company, focusing on cloud infrastructure security, capacity planning, and optimizing CI/CD processes.

In Short

• Analyze, design, develop, maintain and improve infrastructure to expand automation capabilities.
• Automate deployment of testing, staging, and production environments.
• Measure, report and drive improvements on scalability, performance, and availability.
• Lead, plan, and execute large scale system migrations.
• Participate in cross-team initiatives to drive engineering best-practices.
• Collaborate with the InfoSec team to drive compliance and automation for security.
• Manage secrets and automated key rotations.
• Experience with observability tools.
• Strong AWS experience managing infrastructure.
• Work closely with the Security team to optimize infrastructure.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field.
• 8+ years experience building and managing large scale web applications.
• Strong AWS experience managing infrastructure.
• Experience with infrastructure as code and managing Terraform configurations.
• Strong background in Linux/Unix and networking.
• Experience with managing large databases and search systems.
• Working understanding of high-level programming languages.
• Experience with observability tools.
• Github activity showing relevant contributions is a plus.
• Experience creating SLAs, SLOs, SLIs is a plus.
