Staff Product Manager, Developer Portal - Remote

Join us in redefining the developer experience at Kong. We're investing heavily in the Konnect Developer Portal, a next-generation, gateway-agnostic API portal designed to empower both developers and non-technical users to craft and publish modern, elegant API product experiences.

In Short

• Own the Konnect Developer Portal experience, including the Portal Editor and publishing toolchain.
• Lead product discovery and shape the roadmap for portal editing and content management.
• Partner closely with design, engineering, GTM, and customers to define impactful features.
• Conduct user research and translate insights into product requirements.
• Establish and track KPIs to inform product health and monetization success.
• Be a strong communicator who aligns diverse stakeholders.
• 6–8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or developer tooling.
• Deep empathy for developers with hands-on experience in developer-facing tools.
• Experience shipping complex product surfaces across frontend and backend.
• Familiarity with git workflows, CLI tooling, and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 6–8+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS, developer tooling, or platform product areas.
• Deep empathy for developers, with hands-on experience building or supporting developer-facing tools or APIs.
• Experience shipping complex product surfaces that span frontend UX, backend integrations, and system design.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner with Design and Engineering in high-trust, iterative development.
• Ability to define and track success metrics tied to both product outcomes and business goals.
• Familiarity with git workflows, CLI tooling, Markdown documentation, and CI/CD pipelines.
