Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Lead - Remote

Overview

This role will provide health, safety, and environment program leadership for the company as well as provide direct HSE guidance to field projects.

In Short

• Design, implement and maintain the company HSE Management System.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and reporting.
• Provide coaching and leadership to build HSE capacity.
• Lead safety/toolbox meetings and communicate expectations.
• Develop reports on compliance and workforce engagement.
• Participate in operational and major hazard risk assessments.
• Lead incident investigation teams.
• Travel to remote work sites as required.
• Help cultivate a behavior-based HSE culture.
• Ensure team members are trained in HSE standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of related experience in HSE.
• Diploma in occupational health and safety or relevant degree.
• Credentialed HSE professional designation preferred.
• Experience with safety programs and incident investigations.
• Wilderness first aid certification.
• Strong analytical and research skills.
• Ability to guide supervisory staff on safety matters.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation.
• Ability to travel to remote work sites.
