Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor - Remote

Overview

Join our team to lead HSE initiatives, influence leadership, and ensure safety compliance in labs and warehouses. You'll assess risks, support emergency plans, provide expert advice, and drive continuous improvement in safety practices.

In Short

• Establish and maintain partnerships and communication to influence business operations leadership.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop safe job procedures.
• Support the Emergency Response Plan and conduct audits and inspections.
• Provide expert advice on HSE issues and recommend solutions.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
• Network with industry counterparts to build relationships.
• Support business operations in incident investigations.
• Deliver HSE training and mentoring to staff.
• Monitor compliance with HSE management systems.
• Assist in implementing legal changes and best practices.

Requirements

• French language proficiency is required.
• Degree or diploma in environment, health, and safety or equivalent experience.
• Professional designation (e.g., CRSP, CHSO) is an asset.
• 5-8 years of experience in lab and warehouse safety.
• Knowledge of Canadian OH&S Acts and regulations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated team player with autonomy.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to make decisions on complex issues.
• Experience managing budgets.
