Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Principal LINUX Storage Engineer to join our dynamic team! You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Linux-based systems and infrastructure.

In Short

Design and architect scalable and high-availability Linux infrastructures.
Develop high-level designs and detailed specifications for Linux-based solutions.
Deploy, configure, and maintain Linux servers and associated services.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
Monitor system performance and resource utilization.
Implement security best practices for Linux systems.
Provide expert-level support for Linux-related issues.
Develop and implement disaster recovery plans for Linux environments.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for system architecture and procedures.
Stay current with the latest trends in Linux systems and open-source technologies.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in Linux system administration or engineering roles.
Proven experience with various Linux distributions.
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting.
Experience with configuration management and automation tools.
Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies.
Knowledge of networking concepts and security protocols.
Relevant certifications such as RHCE or LPIC.
