The Property Claims Examiner II is responsible for evaluating, investigating, and resolving claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. You will interact with policyholders, independent adjusters, and internal teams to assess coverage, verify damages, and recommend settlements. The role requires excellent judgment, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple claims simultaneously. • Investigate, evaluate, and resolve property claims using technical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills.
• Adjust and recommend reserves to ensure consistency with company policies.
• Enter claim transactions clearly and accurately, maintaining complete records.
• Review claims inspected by independent adjusters, verify coverage, and issue timely payments to policyholders.
• Conduct daily diary reviews to ensure timely correspondence in compliance with Department of Insurance regulations.
• Supervise independent adjusters to ensure adherence to guidelines.
• Negotiate settlements that reflect actual losses while protecting against invalid claims.
• Communicate with insureds and internal teams to secure missing information and resolve claims efficiently.
• Confer with Claims Management and legal counsel on claims involving litigation as needed.
