As a Lead Data Engineer, you will help architect and evolve one of the world’s largest cloud-based data lakes to power intelligent decision-making at scale. You’ll play a key role in building and optimizing data infrastructure that supports analytics, AI, and advanced reporting capabilities. Collaborating across product, engineering, and analytics teams, you’ll drive innovative data solutions and mentor others on data best practices. This is a high-impact role where your expertise will help transform fragmented datasets into valuable business insights.

In Short

• Design and build scalable data workflows and ETL pipelines to support ingestion, curation, and provisioning of large-scale data.
• Develop and maintain cloud-based data warehouses and marts, particularly using Snowflake.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Product Managers, and Engineers to define data needs and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Implement data models and architecture to support reporting, analytics, and AI/ML initiatives.
• Leverage tools such as Scala, SQL, Python, and BI platforms to deliver insights to internal and external stakeholders.
• Optimize complex queries and stored procedures, enhancing performance and reliability.
• Create business-facing dashboards and reporting tools for real-time analytics.
• Maintain a deep understanding of business logic to create actionable insights and improve data usability.
• Contribute to long-term data architecture planning while also addressing immediate technical challenges.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical knowledge sharing within the team.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Data Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in cloud-based data solutions, specifically Snowflake.
• Proficient in programming languages such as Scala, SQL, and Python.
• Experience with data modeling and architecture for analytics and AI.
