Head of Data Analytics - Remote

Overview

This is a pro-bono volunteer position.

In Short

• JerseySTEM is a pro-bono organization focused on improving STEM education for underserved middle school girls.
• The Data Analytics Head coordinates research and organizes information related to educational institutions.
• Manage a team of 2-10 analytics volunteers and interns.
• Understand stakeholder requirements and design projects accordingly.
• Establish departmental guidelines and processes.
• Recruit, onboard, and train new volunteers and interns.
• Mentor and guide volunteers, establishing goals and monitoring performance.
• Coordinate weekly department meetings.
• Participate in steering committee and board meetings as appropriate.
• Commitment of approximately 5-7 hours per week for at least 12 months.

Requirements

• Genuine interest in addressing the gender gap in education and STEM.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative field.
• 8+ years of work experience preferred.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Excel, and Tableau.
• Experience analyzing data from various sources including Google Analytics.
• Team management and mentorship experience.
• Resourceful and able to lead by example.
• Strong communication skills, especially with non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work within the East Coast time zone.
