Overview

Join JerseySTEM, a grassroots nonprofit organization, as a Corporate Writer to help report on partnerships and corporate social responsibility initiatives focused on improving STEM education for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey.

In Short

• Work as a principal creator of editorial content for JerseySTEM.
• Produce both short and long format pieces.
• Manage the Editorial Calendar.
• Interview sponsors and STEM experts.
• Collaborate with the Public Relations Lead on content development.
• Create content for internal and external channels.
• Commit to a minimum of 5-10 hours weekly.
• Volunteer for a minimum of 6 months.
• Work in a virtual organization using digital tools.
• Contribute to the mission of gender equity in STEM education.

Requirements

• Genuine interest in solving the STEM education gender gap.
• Experience in news reporting or business writing.
• Comfort with digital collaboration tools (G-Suite, Slack, Jira, Salesforce).
