Overview

The Field Service Engineer role is a remote position servicing the Seattle/Tacoma Washington area. Travel up to 90% of the time and must have a home base in the Northwest Region or within close proximity to service the assigned market.

In Short

  • Plans and coordinates assignments as directed by the HUB Lead.
  • Identifies technical issues of heat treatment equipment at the customer site.
  • Executes service jobs at the customer site including troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Documents performed service jobs and records possible warranty claims.
  • Promotes up-/cross-selling potential for services at the customer site.
  • Identifies required materials for successful service execution.
  • Acts as first point of contact for customers with existing service contracts.
  • Plans and schedules service jobs in coordination with the HUB Lead.
  • Records hours worked and job assignments accurately.
  • Submits expense reports for review and approval.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the heat treatment industry.
  • Ability to maintain heat treatment equipment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • High level of customer orientation and service mentality.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Basic computer operations knowledge (MS Office, ERP, CRM).
  • Ability to promote a professional appearance.
  • Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of related industrial equipment operation and/or maintenance experience required.
