Overview

The Wind Project Engineer will oversee and manage the technical design aspects of Intersect Power’s Wind Farms, working closely with various teams to ensure project success.

In Short

  • Responsible for managing technical design aspects of Wind Farms.
  • Collaborate with development teams on budget and schedule forecasts.
  • Oversee contractual obligations for EPC contractor and Turbine Supplier.
  • Manage inputs from equipment suppliers and external consultants.
  • Coordinate due diligence, feasibility studies, and design for permitting.
  • Identify and manage design-related risks and challenges.
  • Support pre-construction efforts and maintain project site plans.
  • Manage contracts and budgets related to Wind Project Design.
  • Maintain knowledge of wind turbine technology and market trends.
  • Provide engineering assistance during construction and commissioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or related degree.
  • 6+ years of experience in the renewable energy industry.
  • 2+ years of experience with wind engineering responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of design and construction of Wind Power Plants.
  • Familiarity with EPC, TSA, and Owner Engineering contract negotiations.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple project deliverables.
  • Excellent verbal, writing, and interpersonal skills.
  • Software experience in Openwind, Windographer, AutoCAD, and ArcGIS.
  • Familiarity with energy project economics concepts.
  • Ability to review engineering drawings and identify risks.
