Overview

The LWVUS Advocacy team is seeking policy interns to help support the League’s vital work advancing our federal legislative priorities and serving as a resource to our state and local affiliates.

In Short

• Researching and crafting memos around identified legislation or issue areas.
• Contributing to educational materials and webinars to instruct the wider League field.
• Supporting the work of state and local affiliates through research and legislative tracking.
• Any other advocacy priorities that arise during your tenure.
• Gain valuable experience to boost your policy knowledge.
• Insight into the nonprofit, nonpartisan, and democracy space.
• Make great connections.
• Internships are primarily focused on undergraduates seeking college credit.
• Funding may be available but is not guaranteed.
• Application deadlines are on a rolling basis.
