Credentialing Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for maintaining precise, up-to-date credentialing records and overseeing timely background checks, license verifications, and credential compliance.

In Short

• Initiate the onboarding process and manage updates in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
• Ensure compliance with state, federal, and Joint Commission standards.
• Oversee management and verification of clinician documentation.
• Communicate with clinicians regarding credentialing requirements and renewals.
• Track and manage expiring credentials and compliance documentation.
• Prepare reports on credentialing status and assist with audits.
• Serve as backup during team member absences.
• Participate in cross-training to support operational flexibility.
• Assist in mentoring and training new team members.
• Conduct regular credentialing and sanction checks.

Requirements

• One year of experience in data collection, data entry, and reporting.
• Experience managing and tracking expiring credentials.
• Experience in healthcare staffing, compliance, or related HR field preferred.
• Professional and technical expertise in business functions.
