Overview

The Clinical Counselor will provide counseling services for military personnel and their families, ensuring access to mental health support and resources.

In Short

  • Provide clinical counseling services to military families.
  • Conduct assessments and short-term counseling.
  • Facilitate group workshops and training sessions.
  • Coordinate referrals for longer-term behavioral health needs.
  • Engage with at-risk groups and provide outreach.
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures.
  • Document all counseling services provided.
  • Ensure compliance with Navy and state requirements.
  • Maintain current clinical credentials and privileges.
  • Execute emergency response responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or related field.
  • Current clinical license for independent practice.
  • Two years of post-master’s supervised clinical experience.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with child abuse and domestic abuse cases.
  • Knowledge of FFSMIS system is a plus.
