Overview

The Clinical Counselor will provide essential counseling services to military personnel and their families, ensuring mental health support and advocacy in various settings.

In Short

  • Provide clinical counseling services to military members and families.
  • Conduct assessments and short-term solution-focused counseling.
  • Facilitate group workshops and individual consultations.
  • Target outreach for at-risk groups, including first-term service members.
  • Ensure referrals for long-term behavioral health follow-up.
  • Document and maintain clinical records in required systems.
  • Participate in quality assurance procedures for clinical services.
  • Provide training and workshops for Command Family Readiness Groups.
  • Report suspected child and domestic abuse to authorities.
  • Engage in emergency response exercises as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or psychology.
  • Current clinical license for independent practice.
  • Minimum two years of supervised clinical experience.
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365.
  • Experience in child and domestic abuse fields.
  • Knowledge of FFSMIS system is a plus.
