In Short

• Manage construction projects through all phases including pre-job, mobilization, construction, and closeout.
• Ensure consistent adherence to contract terms, plans, and specifications.
• Manage contracts, sub-contractors, and vendors to job deliverables and schedules.
• Understand client drivers and offer value engineering proposals for functionality, cost, and schedule benefit.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, permits, contracts, and change orders.
• Communicate project progress to stakeholders and provide regular updates.
• Own project financial performance and ensure adherence to budget constraints and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
• Cultivate strong relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other key stakeholders.
• Enforce adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field of study.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certifications are preferred.
• 10+ years of heavy civil construction experience, preferably in water treatment or wastewater construction.
• Proven success in managing projects exceeding $10M in scope.
• Ability to create and manage comprehensive project schedules using plans and input from subcontractors.
• Solid financial management skills, including budgeting, cost estimation, and financial analysis, with a focus on maximizing profitability.
• The ability to travel out of town to job sites.
