We’re seeking a driven and strategic Director of Finance who will oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, project accounting, and financial reporting. This role plays a strategic part in guiding financial decision-making, optimizing financial performance, ensuring compliance with construction industry regulations, and supporting long-term company growth.

In Short

• Lead the company’s annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Partner with senior leadership and PE firm on long-term financial planning.
• Create and analyze performance metrics and project profitability.
• Oversee day-to-day finance operations including general accounting.
• Develop KPIs and dashboards to monitor financial performance.
• Manage job cost reporting and work-in-progress schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and industry standards.
• Lead and mentor a finance and accounting team.
• Promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with auditors and banks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA or Master’s preferred)
• CPA or CFA certification preferred
• 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Experience in the construction or engineering industry required
• Deep knowledge of job costing and construction accounting
• Familiarity with ERPs like Viewpoint, Procore, or Sage 300 CRE
• Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills
• Management consulting or Private Equity experience preferred
