Overview

The Account Manager for Commercial Insurance at IOA is responsible for managing an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention, and supporting new business while delivering excellent customer service.

  • Manage an assigned book of business with a focus on account retention.
  • Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities.
  • Handle customer service requests, policy administration, and billing.
  • Conduct client research and prepare submissions for renewals.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and manage delinquent accounts.
  • Maintain agency management systems for data accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively with the account team regarding workload.
  • Seek and adopt best practices for team performance improvement.
  • Demonstrate integrity and leadership aligned with IOA values.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
  • Active insurance licensing required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
