Senior Staff Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a self-motivated Senior Staff Software Engineer to join the R&D team responsible for developing new products and improving existing ones.

In Short

• Designs, develops, tests and documents embedded system software for new and existing Insulet products.
• Ensures compliance with Company policies for medical product design.
• Writes and maintains design documentation and testing requirements.
• Collaborates with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams.
• Integrates, debugs, and tests systems with other engineers.
• Participates in product design reviews.
• Mentors junior engineers as needed.
• Responsible for designing and maintaining sections of a design.
• Strong programming skills in C and/or C++ required.
• 10+ years of relevant work experience preferred.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering preferred.
• Hands-on experience with Embedded Systems required.
• Experience with ARM, TI, and MSP processors required.
• Familiarity with communication systems and wireless protocols.
• In-depth knowledge of Object-oriented programming in C.
• Good understanding of RTOS and real-time systems.
• Experience developing software for embedded microcontrollers preferred.
• Detail-oriented with effective communication skills.
• Agile or other software development life cycle knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of wireless protocols like Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) is a plus.
