Overview

Instructure is looking for an experienced enterprise account executive to join our growing higher education sales team, focusing on facilitating upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing named, top-tier Canvas Customers.

In Short

  • Facilitate upsell and cross-sell opportunities with existing Canvas Customers.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success Managers and Solutions Engineers.
  • Provide education and training about Canvas products.
  • Guide customers through the purchasing process.
  • Accurately forecast quarterly and annual performance.
  • Develop sales strategies to increase sales pipeline.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders in institutions.
  • Participate in industry events for sales opportunities.
  • Meet/exceed sales quotas within specified time frames.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales/Marketing, or related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of proven sales experience.
  • Residence within the territory preferred.
  • Track record of achieving sales targets in SaaS or EdTech.
  • Understanding of educational pedagogy is a plus.
  • Experience selling enterprise-level software and SaaS.
  • Experience selling at “C” level and above.
  • Excellent strategic/consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to conduct needs analysis and proposal development.
  • Travel required.
