Field Service Technician - Jenbacher Engines - Remote

Overview

The Field Service Technician will perform commissioning as well as mechanical and/or electrical hands-on field service work on Jenbacher Gas Engines, including troubleshooting, periodic maintenance, and minor overhaul.

In Short

• Execute service on engines in compliance with maintenance protocol.
• Carry out minor repairs on the engine.
• Execute major service on the engine in cooperation with colleagues.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for specialist duties.
• Monitor maintenance activities compliant with EHS protocol.
• Analyze failures on engines in mechanics and electronics.
• Troubleshoot engines in the field.
• Create visit reports and fault reports.
• Ensure availability of spare parts and a clean working environment.
• Work effectively as part of a team or independently.

Requirements

• 4 years of reciprocating engine experience preferred.
• Commissioning experience preferred.
• Experience as a car mechanic or electrician.
• Mechanical Technician or higher qualification.
• Electrical Technician or higher qualification.
• Willingness for on-call rotation once trained.
• Living or willing to relocate to Abilene, TX area.
