Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) - Remote

Overview

The Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) will assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of IGS's security program and procedures as required by the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), Department of Defense (DOD), and the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (32 CFR Part 117).

In Short

• Serve as a point of contact for all security matters related to government contracts.
• Ensure compliance with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM).
• Maintain and update the company’s Standard Practices and Procedures (SPP).
• Conduct security briefings and training for employees with security clearances.
• Manage personnel clearances and security documentation.
• Support physical security measures for the facility.
• Perform self-inspections and coordinate with DCSA representatives.
• Investigate and report security violations.
• Support Ad Hoc projects as requested.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Assistant FSO.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
• In-depth knowledge of NISPOM requirements.
• Strong work ethic and customer service skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and independently.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Active Secret Security clearance.
• Strong proficiency with security portals.
