IT Operations Engineer - Platform - Remote

Overview

This role is in the critical path of how our portfolio companies operate, providing IT operations support across various organizations. It requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting, scripting, and understanding business needs.

In Short

• Support IT operations across a portfolio of companies.
• Work directly with founders and CEOs.
• Own problems end-to-end in identity, SaaS platforms, and security.
• Automate repetitive tasks and improve operational processes.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on technical issues.
• Manage identity and access management across platforms.
• Administer core SaaS platforms like Google Workspace and JumpCloud.
• Write and maintain documentation and runbooks.
• Work fully remote and asynchronously across time zones.
• Engage in an active M&A environment.

Requirements

• 2–4 years in IT operations or systems support.
• Hands-on experience with identity platforms.
• Understanding of SSO protocols and SCIM provisioning.
• Experience with RBAC and access governance.
• Comfortable supporting macOS and Windows endpoints.
• Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Strong communication skills with non-technical people.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Comfortable in ambiguous situations.
• Experience with CrowdStrike, Slack, or similar platforms is a plus.
