Overview

The Senior Software Engineer - Data Engineering improves our data pipelines, builds monitoring and reliability solutions, and ensures good data governance. You will play a crucial role within the Data Engineering team by leading a revamp of our analytical foundations, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.

• Lead the design, development, and refactoring of critical data pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and service level agreement tracking.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering.
• Experience with data warehousing and data modeling.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Experience with Spark/PySpark and dbt.
• Experience with AWS, Databricks, or Google Bigquery.
• Knowledge of data governance and quality management.
• Experience implementing monitoring for data pipelines.
• Familiarity with BI tools like Looker.
• Proficiency in version control and CI/CD tools.
• Experience working with non-technical teammates.
