Overview

The Home Medical Equipment Coordinator is responsible for the intake, coordination, and timely implementation of Home Medical Equipment (HME) and supply orders, ensuring accurate documentation and clear communication throughout the order process.

• Act as a liaison among referral sources, providers, patients, and internal service lines.
• Manage patient orders from start to finish, including reviewing referrals and coordinating deliveries.
• Provide essential patient education on equipment use and safety.
• Deliver exceptional customer service through various communication channels.
• Coordinate patient intake and order processing using EMR systems.
• Support patient discharges and transitions of care.
• Process Point of Sale (POS) transactions and manage equipment deliveries.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and compliance knowledge.
• Maintain effective internal and external relationships.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer service role.
