Senior Lender - Remote

Overview

The Senior Lender is responsible for supporting the loan origination process by analyzing applicant financial, project, and management capacity while preparing loan recommendations. This role involves working closely with lenders across all IFF sectors and states on loan opportunities to determine long-term fit with IFF mission and credit requirements.

• Manage borrower relationships and oversee lending activities.
• Evaluate loan requests and assess financial conditions.
• Coordinate with the Chief Credit Officer for loan approval processes.
• Provide technical assistance on financial systems to improve applicant capacity.
• Support data integrity in the CRM database.
• Lead business development efforts to maintain a strong loan pipeline.
• Conduct presentations for customers and prospective borrowers.
• Participate in improving lending programs and policies.
• Attend educational programs and staff meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in business, accounting, or finance.
• Seven years of experience in banking, finance, or real estate finance.
• Competence in commercial lending terminology and credit analysis.
• Experience in marketing loan products.
• Familiarity with the nonprofit sector preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Proficient in Excel and databases.
• Occasional evening and weekend work required.
