Senior Homeless Services Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Senior Homeless Services Specialist will support efforts to prevent and end homelessness through collaboration with various stakeholders, including government agencies and non-profits, utilizing data-informed decision making and technical expertise.

In Short

• Provide subject matter expertise for Technical Assistance projects.
• Support local efforts to prevent and end homelessness.
• Program and code using SQL, R, and other languages.
• Contribute to tools, reports, and policy guidance.
• Develop effective relationships across jurisdictions and sectors.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the homelessness field.
• Experience with HMIS governance and policy.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with training delivery and technical assistance.
• Knowledge of youth homelessness issues is a plus.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in the homelessness field.
• 1 year of experience with HMIS.
• 6 months of programming experience with SQL and R.
• Understanding of McKinney-Vento Act.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Experience with MS Office Applications.
• Experience with systems affecting homelessness.
• Training delivery experience.
• Preferred degree in related fields.
• Knowledge of youth homelessness issues.
