Overview

ICF is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to support our work across HHS and NIH, focusing on backend technologies and XML/XSLT expertise.

In Short

  • Design and maintain XSLT transformations for Elasticsearch.
  • Implement and optimize Elasticsearch for search functionality.
  • Develop scalable web applications using Python and Django.
  • Build internal dashboards to automate tasks.
  • Collaborate with teams to define and deliver new features.
  • Ensure application performance and quality.
  • Stay updated with industry trends.
  • 7+ years experience in Java and related technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
  • Team player with excellent problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 7+ years experience with Java, XML/XSD/XPATH.
  • 3+ years experience with Elasticsearch.
  • 3+ years experience in Python development.
  • 1+ year experience in Django and RESTful API development.
  • 1+ year experience with front-end technologies.
  • 1+ year experience with version control systems.
  • 1+ year experience with Linux and Shell scripting.
  • 1+ year experience with database systems.
  • Knowledge of security best practices.
