Senior Homeless Services Specialist - Remote

Overview

The Senior Homeless Services Specialist will work with various partners to implement best practices and innovate solutions to end homelessness, providing leadership and expertise in HMIS and related fields.

In Short

• Provide HMIS Lead services including system administration and training.
• Collaborate with local and state partners for HMIS utilization.
• Advise on and maintain HMIS policies and procedures.
• Support end users with daily HMIS functions.
• Ensure HMIS compliance with privacy and security requirements.
• Provide subject matter expertise for Technical Assistance projects.
• Contribute to tools, reports, and policy guidance.
• Provide thought leadership to the Homeless Services team.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the homelessness field required.
• Understanding of McKinney-Vento Act and regulations preferred.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the homelessness field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with HMIS governance.
• Effective analytical and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office Applications.
• Experience with training delivery and technical assistance.
• Knowledge of issues specific to youth homelessness.
• An associate’s or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
