Fund Accountant - Associate - Remote

Overview

iCapital is looking for an Associate to join its Fund Finance Private Capital team to focus on Private Capital Fund Accounting and Administration duties. This individual will work closely with other team members, vendors, senior management, and clients on a variety of accounting and reporting processes. This role will report to a Senior Vice President, Fund Finance Private Capital.

In Short

• Work with iCapital’s implementation teams regarding new business and fund launches.
• Review feeder fund draft documents and provide feedback.
• Determine commitment sizes to underlying funds and conduct analysis on feeder fund expenses.
• Oversee quarterly feeder fund NAV and partners’ capital account statement issuance.
• Review and sign-off on capital call and distribution cash analysis.
• Participate in management-level meetings internally and externally.
• Attend prospective clients’ on-site due diligence.
• Approve and release quarterly management fee payment wires.
• Facilitate and work with iCapital Technology and Product teams.
• Monitor fund’s compliance with partnership operating agreement terms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 5-15 years of financial services or asset management accounting experience.
• Alternative investments fund administration experience is a plus.
• Advanced degree or credentials such as MBA, CPA, CFA, or CAIA is a plus.
• Passion for innovative technology application.
• Proven ability to multi-task and work independently or as a team player.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Willingness to learn new topics and work in an evolving business environment.
• Organized and detail-oriented with big picture capability.
