Associate Accountant - Remote

HSO is looking for an enthusiastic Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the US. As the HSO-GS Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while providing essential support for all accounting functions. In Short

• Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records and statements for completeness and accuracy.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
• Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts.
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and regulations.
• Support the month-end closing process by preparing necessary journal entries and account reconciliations.
• Assist with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to help guide decision-making.
• Work closely with external auditors to facilitate annual audit processes.
• Implement best practices for accounting and financial reporting procedures.
• Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in a similar accounting role is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
