Network Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Network Engineer in our brand new Regional Hub / Shared Services Centre (SSC) in Mid Valley City, Kuala Lumpur, you will have the opportunity to play a role in designing, implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an organization to ensure maximum uptime for users.

In Short

• Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Installing, configuring, and supporting network equipment including firewalls, routers, proxy servers, switches, access points, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP etc
• Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation
• Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security
• Maximizing network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting
• Arranging scheduled upgrades
• Investigating faults in the network
• Updating network equipment to the latest firmware releases
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders
• Participate with cyber security activities like PEN testing, awareness trainings etc

Requirements

• 5 – 7 years of Networking experience, or equivalent applicable work experience
• Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows operating systems for desktop & laptops, Microsoft Windows Servers and Active Directory
• Good written and spoken English is essential
• A proficiency in Japanese, Korean and/or Thai as well as other Asian languages will be an added advantage, however not mandatory
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science, or a related field
