Overview

As a Senior Engineer in the Data Services Control Plane team at CrowdStrike, you will design and develop robust software solutions for our distributed data platforms, focusing on automation, scalability, and reliability.

In Short

• Design and implement scalable software solutions for distributed data platforms.
• Write production-quality code primarily in Python and potentially Golang.
• Develop and maintain microservices for data platform components.
• Create robust data processing pipelines for handling petabytes of security telemetry.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new features.
• Design and develop RESTful APIs for internal and external use.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
• Troubleshoot complex software issues in production environments.
• Maintain an understanding of data components like Cassandra and Kafka.
• Work with Engineering to roll out new products and features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and experience in production applications.
• Experience with graph databases and API design.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for distributed systems.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana.
• Ability to work effectively with local and remote teams.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Experience in the information security industry preferred.
