Associate, Development and Outreach - Remote

Overview

The Development and Outreach Department of Human Rights Watch (HRW) is seeking a full-time Associate in our Sydney office to support the Development and Outreach team in Australia. The Sydney office serves as an important base for HRW’s development, fundraising, and outreach efforts across Australia, largely characterised by a full schedule of donor cultivation and fundraising events. The ideal candidate is organised, a self-starter, and interested in fundraising.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum one year of relevant work experience.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Experience with fundraising and philanthropy preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with Salesforce and graphic design tools is required.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
• Demonstrated awareness of diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Strong problem-solving skills and commitment to human rights.
