Backend Engineer - Remote

Overview

As a Backend Engineer at HousingAnywhere, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the rental housing market.

In Short

• Join the Booking Experience team within the Engineering department.
• Focus on developing and maintaining features using the Go programming language.
• Work with product managers to ensure scalability, observability, and reusability.
• Draft technical specifications and oversee end-to-end project delivery.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members.
• 2–4 years of software development experience, ideally with exposure to distributed systems.
• Backend engineering focus with a strong product mindset.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Go.
• Experience designing and implementing APIs over HTTP, gRPC, etc.
• Exposure to infrastructure technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, GCP/AWS/Azure) is a plus.

Requirements

• Curiosity about other parts of the stack (basic frontend knowledge is an advantage).
