Senior Backend Engineer, Booking Platform - Remote

Overview

We're looking for an impact-focused Senior Backend Engineer to join Bookineers, the team that owns Hostaway's guest-facing services.

In Short

• Design, build, and operate backend services in PHP and Go.
• Drive the extraction of services out of our monolith.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design.
• Design and ship APIs built for agentic interfaces.
• Improve page speed and end-to-end performance.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience as a Backend Engineer.
• Strong experience with PHP and experience with Go.
• Proven experience designing and operating high-traffic systems.
• Experience decomposing monoliths or extracting services.
• Solid experience designing APIs.
• Comfortable using AI coding tools.
• Proven experience in product-oriented engineering teams.
• Familiarity with Node.js and React is a plus.
