Senior Backend Engineer - Platform - Remote

In Short

• Develop back-end features for Tiger Cloud, specializing in a distributed microservice architecture with an emphasis on platform and database expertise.
• Design and build Kubernetes controllers, operators, and CRDs to extend platform functionality.
• Improve deployment reliability, error handling, and developer tooling (CLI, APIs, SDKs).
• Build scalable, resilient microservices with strong observability (logs, metrics, tracing).
• Contribute to architecture decisions for distributed systems and service orchestration.
• Collaborate closely with infrastructure engineers to ensure platform scalability and reliability.
• 5+ years of backend or platform engineering experience.
• 3+ years of Go in production environments.
• 3+ years Kubernetes operations (building, debugging, scaling clusters).
• Experience in distributed systems and microservice architectures.

Requirements

• Expertise in distributed systems and microservice design.
• Experience with gRPC & Protobufs.
• Experience developing Kubernetes operators/controllers with client-go or controller-runtime.
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL (admin, replication, query tuning, migrations).
• Strong focus on testing, code quality, and best practices (>80% coverage, linting, peer reviews).
