Director of Finance Transformation - Remote

Overview

Horace Mann is seeking an experienced Director of Finance Transformation. This role is expected to be highly hands-on, working side-by-side with Finance teams to design, implement, and operationalize new processes, systems, and controls—not solely manage projects.

In Short

• Lead the Finance Transformation agenda and execution of the transformation roadmap.
• Own major transformation initiatives aligned with strategic objectives.
• Define and implement future-state finance processes and governance models.
• Work closely with teams to design and operationalize new processes and controls.
• Manage end-to-end program delivery across transformation initiatives.
• Act as a trusted advisor to Finance and business leaders.
• Develop and deliver training programs for new processes and systems.
• Coordinate with stakeholders across Finance, IT, and other departments.
• Track realization of transformation benefits and continuous improvement.
• Prepare executive-level materials for senior leadership.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field; CPA preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Program Management.
• Proven operational process improvement experience.
• Strong project and program management skills.
• Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
