Associate Legal Counsel - Tax and Business - Remote

Overview

We’re seeking a highly motivated Associate Counsel to join our dynamic legal team at Hopper. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, cutting-edge tax matters in the digital travel and e-commerce space.

In Short

• Provide legal advice on U.S. and international tax matters.
• Analyze tax implications of pricing and fee structures.
• Monitor evolving legislation and regulatory changes.
• Partner with external advisors and finance teams.
• Structure intercompany transactions and transfer pricing arrangements.
• Assist in tax governance frameworks and compliance processes.
• Communicate complex tax concepts in clear business terms.
• Work in a fast-paced digital-first environment.
• Collaborate with product leads and senior business partners.
• Manage projects independently and identify legal risks.

Requirements

• J.D. or LL.M. obtained in the United States.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an in-house position, government, and/or law firm practice.
• Experience advising industries on complex tax matters.
