Overview

Hometap is seeking a Default Servicing Specialist to join their Investment Support team, ensuring the timely and accurate handling of default events in home equity investments.

In Short

• Function as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for homeowners during default events.
• Manage communication through calls and emails with homeowners.
• Review property status reports and conduct due diligence on default events.
• Learn and adhere to investor guidelines and agreements.
• Review and upload legal documents related to defaults.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with regulations.
• Complete default tasks within set timeframes.
• Collaborate with the Legal team as needed.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in mortgage servicing or default servicing.
• Ability to read and understand mortgage and default documents.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to multitask in a deadline-oriented environment.
• Experience working independently and in teams.
• Excellent client service and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field.
