Overview

As a Software Engineer II at Hometap, you’ll be embedded in a focused pod of four engineers and a QA engineer, working closely with product managers and engineering leadership to build software that helps homeowners access the equity in their homes.

In Short

Design, build, and test software primarily using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
Collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, QA, and stakeholders.
Integrate with various systems including Salesforce and credit bureaus.
Maintain high code quality through peer reviews and testing.
Take ownership of critical features.
Provide feedback to teammates and leaders.

Requirements

2+ years of professional software development experience.
Strong understanding of relational database design.
Experience with testing frameworks.
Experience with cloud services, preferably AWS.
Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems.
Solid grasp of API design fundamentals.
